re: Forbes: America's Top Universities '13 list out...SEC schools ranking

I'm wondering if anybody realizes we have OSU and Oregon lurkers here who are laughing their butts off at this. At least I would hope they are. Not because of the rankings, but because so many here think this is important. It isn't. What defines "top"? If I wanted an engineering degree then A&M, LSU, Auburn, or Florida would all be very good choices compared to any other school in the country. If I wanted a business degree... well, I actually have no idea as that doesn't interest me. Doctor, lawyer: again, no idea. But I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be the first four I mentioned. Why is that important when talking about the "best" school?
