Fwiw did a little research Mississippi State came to Baton Rouge many more times than LSU went into Mississippi, well into the 70's actually
Again, stadium size was the key back then. Probably made more money coming to BR than playing at home, it was all about $$$$ back then too, just not multi millions

Its interesting to think about how TV deals changed the game and dictated how teams scheduled.
