I think Saban would be a much happier person if all interviews went the way of today's College Football Live segment. They highlighted three plays from the championship game and Saban provided a quick breakdown of each. Smart Football then went and further broke down the coach jargon; it's a very interesting read, also a little lengthy, but worth your time.
It is awesome to see Saban's passion for coaching come out when he is provided an opportunity to actually discuss x's and o's opposed to the usual media crap he has to deal with. He is a true master of his trade and we are so fortunate to be along for the ride.

That was great. And I somehow missed that Kausler interview with Vlachos about our blocking scheme. That was also great.

Typical NFL zone blitz right here. 3 back zones consisting of Clinton-Dix giving safety help over the top behind the man call with Milliner. You can see Robert Lester dropping back over the middle and the opposite CB is dropping back into a zone on the back side. Depriest and Mosley doing of a cross blitz to get immediate pressure on the QB.

Alabama runs this play numerous times a game.

Here is the actual play shown:

What I love about the guy is he doesn't bullshite about how he thinks guys are progressing. He mentioned Cooper 100 times it seemed before last year and we saw what he can do. He's done the same with other guys like Black and I'm pumped about that too. You know damn well if he's saying the offensive line is looking good(and he's said it a few times) they're gonna be really good. He just doesn't throw around complements like that if they aren't true. Holy shite I'm pumped.

Off topic but I just watched the Georgia game again. How do y'all think Geno will do this year. He pretty much dominated in that game. Is he gonna be a starting corner this year?
