Can somebody tell me why the shouldn't sue besides the fact that you like to play video games?

It seems like a pretty blatant exploitation of somebody's likeness to me.

The "likeness" is property of the school...same as selling a players jersey.

And schools already have licensing agreements in place.

The last time I played the game, there was no likeness to any player. The only likeness was that they put their correct number on their backs. They have a group of generic heads that all the players look like.

While I don't disagree in principle to what they are suing about, this is a money grab for a bunch of kids who couldn't make it past the college level and are now mad about it.
