I would probably get bashed for making the statement I'm about to make if more Bama posters were on this thread...........But, IMHO I believe Saban's issue with the HUNH offense is him being pissed that he can't coach his defense and sub out players with new playcalls during an offensive drive. He and Kirby like to coach from the sidelines continuously, they like to coach up their defensive players during drives and send in said player with new calls/alignments/assignments. They can't do that when they can't get their subs on the field. Saban may very well be branding it as "player safety" because he knows that shite will get the attention of the ncaa.

Now having said that, I have full faith in Nick & Kirby to make the proper adjustments to their "coaching style" so that they can get the proper calls and defensive schemes into their defense when playing a fast-paced offense. Saban is regarded as one of the best in college football because he knows how to adapt and he WILL adjust his system to deal with the opponent in any way neccessary to WIN.
