You and I both know this can likely be chalked up to growing pains for Vandy football. They've never had a culture there that lived a triple six lifestyle. When you've got a culture that values songs where a line is "let's call the boys, let's run a train..."

Google the lyrics to Three-Six Mafia's song Slob on my Knob.

Arkansas had this issue in the late 70's and a few years ago with the basketball team. When you value athletics over academics and the purpose of a university then stuff like this will pop up.

Look for more incidents in Vandy's future if they're ginna be a player. If the girl wouldve known what she was from the get go this would be a non issue and just another Saturday night in Death Valley.

No one knows the details. However, the thing that has changed at Vandy is our better recruits - somewhat of a majority - are choosing Vandy over Stanford, Northwester, Ga. Tech...etc. We are not recruiting a different athlete from a character stand point and we have not lowered academic standards. Before this our biggest scandal was "steroid" use in the 90's. Makes you wonder how bad they would have been without steroids. I am confident this is an aberration and not trend created by signing better recruits.

Are you honestly blaming the girl for not knowing "what she was?" Something is seriously wrong with you. I don't care who a girl is, what she wears, who she hangs out with, how many guys she's screwed in the past - none of that matters. If these guys ran a train on her without her consent, or if she was too drunk to consent, they deserve to have the book thrown at them. That is so far from OK, so far from anything that is acceptable. I don't care what "culture" they subscribe to, unless they had her consent and participation, what they did is criminal. And sick.

People need to step back from thug rap and think - they all have a mother, grandmother, aunts, sisters - would it be OK if something like this happened to those women? One out of four women in this country will be sexually assaulted in her lifetime. Look around you and do the math.
