Tbh, I have seen a few times, during games (not speaking of recruiting) when this was the case.

What team don't? Every winning team has to have good enough players to win. Take all those 5 stars away from Saban and see how many championships he wins. This is just a stupid argument to me.

Damn near every game when LSU steps on the field against Alabama who has the best coach in college football and the best players, LSU has played them close every game but one. I think that's enough proof to me that he's a better coach than anyone else on that list.

So if Saban and Alabama is the benchmark, why isn't Sumlin's perfect record against the Tide taken in to consideration?

Like I said, I'm not arguing LSU's success. The question was "what coach would I take over Les Miles"? For Arkansas, I just don't think he would be a good fit, and I'm taking out my personal opinion of him.

Many teams don't have the talent and depth to win "in spite of" their coach. There are few teams in the country with the caliber of players as LSU and Alabama.
