No, I don't want you to actually tell me which one of the two you would rather have. But...

Would you rather have a guy for 20 years, winning 13 SEC championships, and a 194-48 record

or

Have a guy who almost completely ruins the program but wins a National Championship?

This has nothing to do with the fact that Coker won with Davis's players or whatever. Pretend Coker actually coached his team up. If that's too difficult, imagine it's Chizik. I didn't want to use him because that would cause problems.

tl;dr version
20-years of great success vs. National Championship

Bo

The name Schembechler will be known by college football fans forever. Larry Coker is the answer to a trivia question.

saying that Coker almost completely ruined the program is a massive exaggeration.

"Cool Story Bro" post here

We stayed at the Westin Regina in Cancun, Mexico, in April 1998 for our honeymoon and the person in the suite next to us was none other than Bo Schembechler and his wife. Still wore his Michigan tee shirts everyday we saw them.

I would rather have Woody “Haymaker” Hayes than either of those two.

Larry Coker is the reason the 2001 Canes are NOT the best team ever. Doesn't matter who's on the roster, Saban's Title teams would pwn Miami all day.

Well we pretty much have Bo Schembechler right now and I wouldn't trade him for Coker.

BO.

A&M threw a lot of money at him back in the 80s, but Jackie ended up being a better hire and fit anyway.

Easy choice...to hire Larry Coker, you would simply have to buy out his paultry contract at UTSA. To hire Bo Schembechler, you would have to dig up his corpse, then try to find a way to reanimate him (he has been dead for nearly 7 years).
