I get your point, I used to get jitters before we played teams like Miss. State and South Carolina wondering if we would squeak out a win against mid-tier SEC teams. It certainly made things a bit more exciting, as these days I only get really nervous/amped up for a couple of regular season games a year. The rest I know we will crush.
That said, I would not trade this era at all. These are the golden years that people will look back at decades from now and talk about just like people do now about the Bear Bryant era. We are witnessing one of the legendary programs/eras in college football so I'm just soaking it in, because one day it will be gone and I'll long for the days I didn't get jitters before playing Ole Miss or Miss. State.
