Likelihood LSU/A&M game will have BCS implications?

With this being the second to last game for both programs, what, if any BCS implications do you think this game will have? Will this be a win and get a BCS bid game?

A win for whom? Either team has the ability to win the game.

No chance. LSU will have 2 wins and aTm will already be the champs. This will mark the first time the BCS crowns the champ before the championship game.

Impossible to say. A&M will have already lost to Bama and if UGA survives the first 4 weeks, most likely this game will have Cotton Bowl implicatoins only.

Basically the question is based on both teams schedule do you think this game will ultimately be a "win and your in" type game. Or do you see either or both teams running into so trouble earlier in the season (ie A&M vs Bama on 9-14 or LSU vs UF 9-28 with a few bad losses here or there) which would make this game not as meaningful. Obviously if both teams come in undefeated (unlikely) or even 1 loss teams (a little more likely) it would be a huge game. Just wondering what thoughts were on if this game is going to have some BCS implications (or rather if both teams will still be relevant in BCS polls in week 13)

No. Alabama and LSU is still the game to beat until proven otherwise.

Seeing that LSU will have 3 or 4 losses at that point, the only implication will be the swamp kittens playing the role of spoiler, but as long as Texas A&M takes care of Mizzou, the game will be inconsequential for Sumlin's first of many trips to Atlanta.

2 wins is a little high
SECr says LSU is going 0-12 next season even though we bring back more starters than A&M and the same # as Bama

LSU will likely be fighting for bowl eligibility (remember the decline and all). Most assuredly it will be BCS title implications for A&M.

For TAMU, yes. LSU will already have at least 2 losses.

It'll be interesting to see if LSU can recover from last season. Preseason #1 to being the sixth best team in the conference and going to the Chicken Bowl.

What poll had LSU preseason #1?

Because LSU doesn't play Bama this year?
