I saw his first two at-bats. He grounded weakly into a double play (he fits right in) and got frozen on a curveball.

Don't be so dramatic.

That wasn't a weak hit ground ball at all.. and he showed a lot of speed almost beating out the play. (20 for 21 stealing bases).

He looks and carries himself like a major leaguer, a lot like Furcal, an inch taller maybe.

I really like Carp at 2nd.. not the power of Utley, but his body type reminds me of Utley at 2nd. Seems like the Cards are set on keeping Wong.

Now just have to endure one last start from Westbrook on Wednesday. Hopefully he sucks and he's finally done as a Card. Guy didn't finish the last 2 years, not sure why the Cards picked up his 10 million dollar option for this year. This year will make it 3 in a row he doesn't make it to the finish line.

Now only if we can somehow get Holliday to walk in front of moving traffic this offseason we'd have it made. Could resign Beltran and bring on Taveras next year.

I love that Holliday is a 33 year old veteran and he still needs to get his jollies off by playing HR derby before games. Announcers were telling us about the pregame show yesterday, hitting balls out of Wrigley... then nothing in the game. Hate this bald apeman more than anything.

Wasn't being dramatic, he just had a poor first outing.

I'm big on Wong, I'm hoping he becomes the regular 2nd basemen next season with Carpenter moving to 3rd and Freese being on the way out. The Cardinals desperately need his speed.

As for Westbrook, I'm really disappointed they are giving him another start. I never understood why they brought him back at this price when Lohse's contract demands weren't that much higher.

I don't think the guy is worth the contract he signed, but he is hitting like .400 in August almost bringing it up to .300 on the year. Only 2 home runs in August, but he's still hitting.
