Kentucky will never consistently beat Urban Meyer for recruits, but UK does have the advantage right now of offering immediate playing time and being the closest SEC school to any Midwest recruit.

Depends on how UK winds up long term. Stoops is the great unknown but lets say he puts together a string of 8+ win seasons at UK coupled with the SEC brand and he could easily flip some OH kids seeing the SEC on TV all the time. Urban recruiting Ohio will not be as prolific as recruiting Florida. It has been a decade since the Buckeyes won a MNC so how many recruits coming of age have B1G MNC memories?

Oddly I can see a change in recruiting dynamics in the state of OH. For years the Buckeyes had the monopoly with only Michigan to make serious raids. Louisville gets the ACC into OH and Kentucky gets the SEC into OH and now you no longer have the monopoly. It will be interesting to see what happens next.

If a kid from Ohio is given an offer to go play for Ohio they are going to take it more times than not. People here are fanatical about anOSU.
