I've been stuck on Son House for about two weeks. Never heard of the guy, but I heard him on the White Stripes station. Now I'm hooked.
I love the blues. But give me some of your favorite stations.
It don't matter what you like. Music is music in this thread.

Yeah. I know Stevie real well, as well as all the contemporary blues artists. I just didn't realize that they were just remaking the songs they loved.
I feel stupid thinking that I loved the blues based on Clapton, Jimi, Stevie, etc. The genre is absolutely insane. In the last two weeks I've gone to a Open D tuning on my guitar. Realizing that all the songs I couldn't figure out were done in an alternate tuning.
Third wall broken for me.

Tyre three kings: BB king, Albert king, and Freddie king
Little freddie king is great too
Jimi is amazing he could do anything and his blues stuff is some of my favorite.

Yeah I know blues.
Tell me about your Pandora stations.
Iyaz is dialed in. Seems too pop for me, however. I do have my moods...
Good looking out.

Pandora.
I used to like Papa Grows Funk a lot for some New Orleans funk. Also Lettuce for funk.
The Doors was always a go to as well.
Allman Brothers is a good station.

I also do warren Haynes band or gov' mile a good bit because I love warren.
Velvet underground and talking heads are interesting but they certainly aren't for everyone. (two of my top 10 bands fwiw)

I'm a fan of One Republic and Mumford and Sons too. I mostly listen to Pandora when I'm in the gym.

However, it sounds like you should use this thread to open up your third eye.
Any and all music can move your soul. It is what it is.

Townes Van Zandt, great station.
He wrote many an outlaw country hit. Personally, I only enjoy Outlaw Country. Willie, Waylon, and Me, as my wife likes to say.
But he wasn't much of an outlaw himself, probably more of a country traveller. But man, he could sing and write. Underrated outlaw hero.

I'll have to check I out. I spent the other day you tubing some of the Willie duets stuff. And I really liked it. I have a bunch of friends that listen to all the country bullshite they put out now and it kind of turned me off of anything associated with word so I haven't given it a shot before then.

At work before they blocked it on our server I rolled with the Motown channel.

Motown is definitely in my rotation.
I roll with the Motown channel at least twice a week on the way to work. Usually the days I dont want to go there. Motown eases me in.

I've been grooving to syndicate of sound's station. A lot of good 60's garage rock. I also get into the Chantays station. Has the best surf......although you will hear about 30 different versions of 'walk don't run' and 'pipeline'.
