For those offended by this thread, when I saw a topic called "Bama Bump", I thought this was a board to discuss recruiting by all SEC teams.

For LSU fans I made a statement intended to acknowledge you will get good players out of Texas this year and every year.

But in head to heads with old Bigwtf rivals, and in numbers of highly rated recruits, Texas A&M now dominates the State of Texas without any question.

You said miles would take the best ones. Hoza Scott is the #1 player in Texas and myles garret is top 5. They will take some of the best ones like they have with brown and Paris, but we will get out fair share

Hoza Scott is not the #1 player in Texas. You only think that because he's committed to A&M. Brown is #1 in Texas. And two of the top 5 in any state by one school in a talented state like Texas is pretty significant.

Obviously you will get your fair share, it's your state..

He's the #3 on the 247 composite. That's fine with me. You were making it seem like we would lose out more often than not on the top players in Texas. Was just pointing out we are getting 2 out of the top 3 in Scott and Myles garret.

A&M is bringing Texas High School Football to the SEC.

P.S. Keep this thread right here where it belongs!

Texas recruits have started to earn a reputation for softness. Most of the high schools play basketball on grass. UT hasn't helped that reputation since all their highly rated recruits have created the softest CFB out there. Maybe A&M can change that.

This is how aggy sees every commitment.

We beat [insert school] out for so and so. As if every position is the same exact thing at both schools in terms of depth/coaching/play time. Also assumes location/family background is all the same. Why am I also responding in a serious manner to ANOTHER aggy troll thread?

The point is that A&M is beating UTx and OU for the majority of head-to-head battles. That hasn't been the case for over a decade, regardless of depth/coaching/play time.

Im not sure if you mean Texas as in the state or just the school, but I think you saw our team last year was anything but soft.
I ado agree that the sips have certainly become notorious for being soft in the NFL. It really has a lot to do with Mack Brown and the culture surrounding Austin.

Also, it is really quite amazing what Sumlin has done in one year.

Bob Stoops is crapping his pants right now because he has never been shut out of the state like this before. Mack Brown has done a complete 180 in his recruiting practices and has even gone so far as to conceding the 2014 class and trying to get ahead for 2015 recruits. They are offering guys they never would have in the past (which is probably good for them). Sumlin is literally top dog in the state right now, something many people on this site laughed at (Texas will always get top talent in the state, etc).

As for Tony Brown, he is certainly an LSU lean, but A&M will be there till the end. Also, the top 3-5 guys in the state are all filthy good, who cares about a subjective #1?

Something I have heard frequently about Texas High School football players is that most coaches believe they are much closer to their ceiling coming out of high school. Their coaching and weight programs are almost on a collegiate level. This is why if you have equal prospects from Texas and Florida for example, they will take the one from Florida every time as they are seen with much higher ceilings having reached the same level with lesser coaching and weight training.

Pretty sure Tony told him what's up himself when he called the day we won T&F. It's only June.

Yea, I hear that too. There may be some slight truth to it, but it is probably slight. Plenty of NFL talent comes out of this state. If you can consistently pull in top 30 Texas HS kids, then you will be as talented as just about anyone.

Everything I predicted for TAM is coming true.

TAM will the the equal of any SEC perennial power within the next couple of years and beyond.

Restored my faith in logical Tiger fans. It is really that simple. LSU hits on all 8 he will be a tiger.

I agree Who cares who we beat out. I could care less about that as could most everyone on this board. Sumlin and staff are doing a great job but Id prefer to focus on SEC and not the f*n sips our OU for that matter.

longwhorn fans are one royally pissed off bunch right now.

They are unhappy because A&M is murdering them in recruiting.

They are even pissed off because the OM game is on the lhn (go figure).

longwhorns will be looking for a new AD and a Head Football Coach right after this season.
