LMAO! We can sell 17,500 tickets to bowl games in Arizona. You can't sell 17,500 tickets to a bowl game in a neighboring state.

Nobody really cares about tBCS anymore outside the title game. Especially when you go into it playing a team like Louisville.
Granted, it's still football and people still watch(and I would never miss a BCS game my team was in if it were within a couple states distance), but it is what it is. Same cities/venues for teams and fans to visit time after time and the trips aren't cheap.

I'm excited for the playoff to change things up a bit.

True. The bowl games just were not that great last year. With the 4 team playoff coming, it will further hurt the other bowl games - including the other BCS games.

what? If it was a game against a 8-4 unranked UConn that might hold water.

But Louisville was 10-2 and ranked. So the excuse it was the team is weak.

Now if you want to talk about the game being on a Wednesday I'm with you. Mid week bowls before Christmas and after New Years are horrible for traveling fans.
