SEC QB Recruiting

The Bama-A&M thread on the main board got me thinking about this. The SEC is absolutely loaded with top QB prospects it seems. Both those schools landed top prospects and I know every QB on Arkansas' roster and current commits are all 4*'s.
However, I wanted to look at every SEC team and see where the sit with QB recruiting.
2014 Commits
Alabama: David Cornwell - (247) 4*, #3 Pro QB,
Arkansas: Rafe Peavey - (247) 4*, #8 Dual QB
Auburn: ?
Florida: Will Grier - (247) 5*, #2 Pro QB
Georgia: Jacob Park - (247) 4*, #9 Pro QB
Kentucky: Drew Barker -(247) 4*, #7 Pro QB
LSU: ?
Mississippi St: Elijah Staley - (247) 3*, #20 Dual QB
Missouri: ?
Ole Miss: ?
South Carolina: ?
Tennesse: ?
Texas A&M: Kyle Allen - (247) 4*, #5 Pro QB
Vanderbilt: KJ Carta-Samuels - (247) 4*, #10 Pro QB
Either LSU or Auburn will land Brandon Harris, the #1 Dual QB on 247, so that will be another elite prospect at QB.
Tennessee looks to be the favorite to land Kendrick Doss. (247) #17 Dual QB.
South Carolina has only offered Barker at QB and Park is off the board now so perhaps they don't take a QB in this class?
Not sure where Ole Miss or Mizzou sit at QB recruiting. I've heard that Mizzou won't take a QB in this class but I'm not 100% positive on that one.
That's just an obscene amount of talent coming in to the SEC and that's not even talking about all of the top talent that we landed last year at the position. The SEC is quickly becoming the league of the QB in my opinion.

Cornwell is a 5-star on 247. And if you say composite, why use Rivals.

Because I always use 247 composite.
I only put Rivals on there because certain fanbases on here still use Rivals.

Ok. Then all your numbers are wrong. Sorry for being a dickhead.

Edite the OP to include just composite 247 to make the Bama fan happy.

Ole Miss signed two four star QBs last year. Its not really a dire need this year.
I think the staff will take one QB. At this point I have no idea who. With the two young guys coming in we can be a little bit more selective in who we go after.

That's what I figured. I know they are recruiting Harris and Doss but neither seems a high priority.

I get the feeling you're not actually sorry for being a dickhead.

I think QB and OL are the 2 positions toughest to recruit because of the different dynamics each player possesses and the unique skill it takes to play the QB position, stars don't matter IMO
I remember when Bama was close to landing Andrew Luck, as a 3 star I believe and I also remember the terrible decision of taking a stab at Star Jackson
You never know what that combo of skillset and talent will come together

You always take a QB
Bama took 2 and added a 3rd who wanted to come in as a walk-on and still took who they felt was the best QB in this cycle

Andrew Luck was the #4 overall QB coming out of high school.
Jackson was definitely a bust however.
Dual threat QB's are the hardest to peg imo. So much of their rating is based off of athleticism and their potential to be developed into a good QB. They seem to be busts at a higher rate than pure "pro style" QB's.

I dont think AU needs a QB in this class.

^^^^^^^^^^ This...EVERY year you take a QB...

Absolute worst case scenario, they could always make Liggins slim down and move him back to QB.

It was out of JuCo I don't remember his ranking maybe he was a 4 star then
Anyway regardless

Do some research. Listing Kyle Allen as the #5 Pro Style prospect is screwed up.
Not that it really matters. There were a lot of guys rated above Manziel that are now nobodies.

By the way, most use just 247.
