It's definitely not just you. That's a good summary of my feelings that year too. Last year for Alabama was weird because they fell behind in their three biggest games, but it never seemed like they were out of it, and they proved that they could come back from almost any deficit. That's why AJ's interception in the end zone against aTm was such a letdown, because I was sure they were going to convert just like they had against LSU. So maybe they weren't as dominant as in 2011, but last year's offensive line was possibly the most dominant unit of any team I've ever seen.

The offense, one way or another, was responsible for the Texas A&M and LSU games. 2012 Alabama didn't put it all together. Alabama did not put up great rushing yards against Ole Miss, LSU, and Texas A&M. The loss of Jalston Fowler certainly hurt, but playcalling was also an issue. The LSU and Texas A&M games could have looked entirely different if the offense brought their A game.

2003 LSU Also, 2001 Florida was pretty tough...they didn't win the SEC, but they blew us out that year...

Trust me, I've heard about the 2003 LSU defense. I only counted SEC teams back to 2008. My main question was when do you predict we'll have another phenomenal, predominant SEC team.
