Bama fans, what are you hearing?

I know he doesn't have a committable offer from Bama yet. UGA just offered him, and most of the 247 analysts now favor UGA, including BOL's Charles Power.

Is Bama going to go with Cornwell or go up against UGA for Park?

He's committing this month...I'm pretty sure he'll be a Dawg at this point.

What happened to his intense preference of Scot Loeffler?

He was all Auburn while Scot Loeffler was the offensive coordinator here, and I figured he would be pretty high on Virginia Tech.

I think he likes Loeffler but likes the idea of playing for a big SEC team more.

I would say that is a smart decision on his part.

Mark Richt has always had quality quarterbacs at Georgia. David Greene, DJ Shockley, Matthew Stafford, Aaron Murray. Looks like Jacob Park could be in line to be the next.

do not want park. cornwell all the way. park looks like his actual arm strength is not that great, loses velocity if he cant set his feet. cornwell can throw lasers no matter what his feet are doing, and is very athletic despite being 2 inches taller and 30lbs heavier. he rushed for more yards last year than the #1 dual threat qb Harris.

^^Gets it

Whether he commits to UGA or not or whoever he commits to, very seriously think he ends up @ VT

I don't get why the instate schools haven't offered yet.

From what I was told, Bama coaches like Park better as well. No idea what that will eventually mean for his commitment, but sounds like he'll get first crack at committing.

Everything points to him coming to the SEC because he wants to play QB in the best conference and has stated as such. If he commits to UGA I really doubt we let him go because we have one of the best track records with QB's of anyone in the country.

I don't care what he says the longer it goes the more he gets the stay at home pitch from family and friends (who are VERY pro VT) and the less and less that SEC dream fades

He could end up in the SEC if he does I'd prefer UGA and Bama land Cornwell

We went all-in on Barker. Mangus was told it's Barker or bust. Spurrier didn't feel we needed a QB this cycle with the depth we have there.

We have:
Shaw,
Thompson (next year will be a 5th year SR who beat 2 ranked teams already)
Nosovitch (Parade All American and is a RSFR now)
and Mitch (who owns many of the NCHS QB records.)

Right now we need DL and DB's more, so it was Barker (who is an Elite 11 QB) or bust.

I think Park will end up being a great QB, but we just don't have room at this time, so we never offered.

Huh? Athens is 100 miles and an hour and a half closer than Blacksburg from Goose Creek.

Alabama and Georgia have risen to the forefront of Park’s recruitment and he says a decision could be made within the week, if not days.

“It’s really close between those two. I think I may have one (in mind), but when I say it’s close, it’s close. I might know what I’m going to do in the next week or next few days.”

Guess not, I'm just gonna leave this here.

quote:

Rising senior quarterback Jacob Park (Goose Creek, Ga./Stratford) spent time throwing for the staff at last Saturday’s minicamp. He finally picked up the Georgia offer that he had wanted for more than a year. Five days later, the Elite 11 signal-caller said that he is ready to decide. Park said that he plans to make his choice in the coming week and has narrowed his list to Georgia and Alabama. Park, the nation’s No. 8 dual-threat quarterback, is only the second quarterback Bobo offered this year.
