Did A&Ms success in SEC and recent recruiting boom help existing sec teams?

It seems the success A&M has had entering the SEC really helped the branding. and yes - I know A&M is lucky to be in the SEC - and the SEC didnt need A&M. But my point is that the sale to recruits of playing in the sec kind of expanded west a little and JFF didnt hurt conference image. I feel it helped increase the scuttlebug of playing in the sec. Teams lower in the SEC might get more luck on the SEC team sales pitch as the brand increases. Maybe see lower teams getting better and taking top recruits from other conferences.

Thoughts?

Aggys best player was still only a 3 star, they need to shore up things at home before they think they are helping the other "lower teams" in this conference...

No. Good coaching hires helped the lower teams this round. A&M played well last year and might have helped open up the state of Texas a little but Uni Texas being bad the last few years helped more than A&M being good.

It does for teams like aTm, Ms. State, and Ole Miss.

So I'm interested in finding out who these "lower teams" are exactly.

You've never seen Arkansas fans fill jiz jars for finishing in 3rd place, in the west, on this board like you have the aggys...

Of course y'all are going to benefit the conference as a whole.

We didn't let you in out of the goodness of our heart.

When you're expected to finish 6th you do. Now that we're expected to finish 2nd at worse, our expectations have changed.

Not everyone can go from Top 10 to 4-5 wins. You join an elite club that includes Texas...TWICE (1997, 2010)

The entire offensive line, 3/4 of the receivers, 2/3 of the running backs, and the entire starting defense would have to go down all at once to pull off what happened to the steers and queers in 1997 and 2010.

Even in the worst years of Franchione and Sherman, we NEVER lost to Baylor at home

Yeah, they have definitely set a new standard for moral victories ... aTm that is.
