Didn't catch the whole take, but if I understood the radio host on college sports radio. He said if game doesn't get in by tomorrow the ncaa would pick the team to represent. UNC would be picked because of seed. He was saying that was just stupid. Play the game in Columbia if you have too.

That is incorrect.

The NCAA says this game will be played until we have a winner. He said that info was incorrectly put-out by a lower level phone operator at the NCAA offices and was totally incorrect - about a committee picking a winner.

Hope it's fake. The NCAA rule book was quoted in another thread indicating it is in fact true that it would be a committee. IDK

Would have to see that quote to believe it ... because, according to the NCAA, no such rule exists.

There was a local show who made the call to the NCAA person who would know, and his words were, "it's an Internet rumor. No suck rule exists. If we have to move this final game to Bermuda to get it played that's what we'll do. Then we'll adjust the game times in Omaha to accommodate the winner of the Super Regional to the best of our abilities."

It's the 2011 version however, it may be out of date & they got rid of the rule?

Tomorrow the forecast for Crapple Hole is decent after 1 p.m., but it will be more humid than they are used to. The game might not start right at 12, but the rest of the afternoon looks good right now. We should be able to play the complete game tomorrow.

I also wouldn't think the guy that runs the official twitter account for NCAA Baseball would be wrong either.

Not true. Game 3 will be played MT @WBTVWebChris: True story @NCAACWS? If USC-UNC can't finish series, NCAA will pick a team to advance.

Agreed, there's no way that the committee should ever decide who goes, let the teams play them out.

No, I'm sure you're right and all of us Gamecock fans are wrong. All the NCAA people are wrong. All of the local shows, our SID, our baseball offices, our local writers ... all wrong.

Your troll meme face and you, you're right ... I'm sure of it. No sense even trying to get the game in.
