How many penalties are called on your team doesn't mean much. It's the differential between how many are called on you versus your opponent.

Exactly. I thought I remembered seeing that Alabama's opponents have been the least penalized in the SEC over the last few years as well.

Bottom line is that in Alabama games the level of play is just elevated all around. Further proof that Alabama is God's gift to football.
