If Mizzou can have one of the best grass surfaces in the country every year, Vandy has no excuses.

According to Corbin, having the turf field this year prevented 7 rain outs. The players would have also had to tarp the field 55 times during the year. I think the value of it was proven within its first year of use. Plus, I'd say how fast the ball plays in the infield is beneficial to Vandy's small ball strategy (not that any of it matters anymore this season).
