Read an article somewhere that said Bryant plans to wait until the spring to sign. Went over and read the Syracuse board to see what they were saying. From what I gathered, they see it as a good thing for them. They were saying they have no scholarships to currently give and that by waiting until spring, spots will open up with guys leaving.

I think the same can be said for Mizzou as well if the rumors about Bellow and Cam are true. Having said that, I'll keep my fingers crossed for an early signing period commitment.

Same article he didn't give the impression he is a package deal with anyone.

Reading their board on Briscoe as well. Apparently they offered him when he was 15 and had been on him for a while and then backed off last spring. Could be sour grapes because of a falling out or could be truth to it but the Syracuse perspective is that Briscoe's dad came in with a bunch of demands (not $$$) that he play PG solely, no SG, that he start from day one and average x amount of minutes per game. No idea the validity, just what they said over there way before Mizzou was ever in the picture, like last spring and stuff.

Here's a link to a similar article. It also mentions Kentucky will have an in home with Blakeney on Wednesday. Let's hope they don't offer.

Memphis had an in-home visit with Skal Labissiere last night, while Missouri had one with former Louisville commit Antonio Blakeney.

Didn't see it personally, but was told on another board it was posted that Kapita has qualifying issues. Guess that is why it has gone so quiet on him lately. Briscoe is visiting UConn and UK this weekend.

@ebosshoops: Antonio Blakeney tells me that he has set official visits to Mizzou for October 10th and LSU for Nov. 7th.

Swanigan is visiting UK on October 10th now instead of Mizzou. No word on what changed, but we're going bringing in Kapitia instead. He has grade issues, but supposedly still has a good shot at qualifying.

Kentucky offered Briscoe this weekend, per his father. Reported on twitter. Don't know if that's dependent on Newman choosing first or not, but that really hurts our chances. Probably shuts the door to be honest. Hopefully we can get at least Bryant, as our fall back plans on Briscoe and Blakeney are unranked 3* kids still.

For example, Missouri visited LaGerald Vick today, unranked 3* SG who appears to be a backup plan to Blakeney.

Missouri also visited Rozelle Nix, a 7 ft 320lb unrated JUCO C from Florida.

Welp. We're officially in a "hustle" and "play hard" and "give 100% on the floor" year.

Biedscheid was rumored to be having problems with the staff. He left ND, his dream school under mysterious circumstances. Don't know what to think other than his leaving opens up another scholarship.

It was already going to be a rough year, it got much tougher now. Hopefully our young guys are very good, because we are getting thin depth wise. If we replace Cam with a 4/5* guy, then no worries. But if we have a rough season and only get a couple 3* guys then it could get ugly. Lots of pieces still up in the air for the basketball team, losing a local top 30 recruit isn't the best news, especially since he's from STL where we struggle to recruit in basketball.
