They will if a certain amount of people just stop showing up.

No they wont. They will simply get thier money by raising the price of a hotdog or a commercial or an ad on the side of a stadium.

The market has shown that ppl will pay the price of current ticket prices.

The market changes, and as long as TV contracts go up, I think eventually, with time, the tickets to the games will begin to decline.

The market is declining

Yes and No

The older folks will because they have personal experience with long time conditioning to live games. This is the 40 - 80 age group right now but the majority are the baby boomers who are starting to die off. In a generation that loyalty will be a thing of the past and the next generation will have been raised on TV only games. Like 4 bedroom houses in an age of empty nesters the live game will become a classic case of too much supply and too little demand.

The market isn't a homogeneous group of buyers. There is a whole new generation that will get priced out, and have invested a lot of money in their home theater set up, and won't go to games even if they have the money. Tailgating is the key to selling the future. I hope my administration pays attention.
