Ok, so she's looking for stability, but does she really realize what a 20k pay cut entails when she does not work? Does she handle the finances? If not, stand your ground. I say this as a working mother point of view.

I handle all the finances she literally has not paid a bill in twelve years of marriage.I really feel like this is going to work out with work.My shoulder still has problems but I think I can just work through it.
