Whatever happened to Damian Swann playing baseball at UGA?

With Stricklin getting the official nod today, it got me wondering: when we were recruiting Swann out of Grady, one of his reasons for picking UGA over Bama was because we would allow him to explore the idea of playing some CF across the street at Foley.
Why did that never pan out? Was it a Perno thing, a Richt thing, or did Swann just lose interest? Was there ever any official reasoning?

Maybe he should approach Gurley and/or Marshall to be pinch runners. Is there a catcher in the NCAA that would challenge Gurley for the plate on a squeeze?

I was sent in as a pinch runner in a Little League all-star game. When I got to 1st base the coach said, "Next time RUN out here."
I said, "Coach, I WAS running."
He called time and subbed for me.
