Aggies gave LSU no end of grief for dropping the extension of the series in the 90s due to going to an 8-game conference schedule after SEC expansion to 12 teams.

Now y'all are pussying out on OOC games because of changing conference schedule concerns.

The USC never even signed the contract so there was no game for A&M to drop. Latarian and the linked author are playing fast and loose with the facts on that one.

The series with Oregon was mutually ended just like Oregon did with KState last year.

that is nothing like killing a game less than a year out and trying to claim schools like ULM and ULaLa are equivalent opponents to weasel out of your cancellation fee. Also, it was the fact that LSU refused to pay to cancel that was the real issue.

Source from A&M says Oregon series is still on (as of 1:23PM CDT today): 2018 away/2019 home.

ETA: Southern Cal pussed out and backed out.

Are.

You.

Kidding?

Let me refresh your memory:

"There was a point that Jake (Delhomme) called a play during a long drive, we broke the huddle and we were running to the line like it was the first play of the game," he said. "I looked across at the A&M players and they were looking at us,

"Just the way their body language read, the fact that they knew we hadn't given up and we were still coming. You could see it in their eyes. I knew right then and there we were going to win that game."

Final score: Texas A&M Aggies 22, University of Southwestern Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns 29.

And you want to claim that USL wasn't a suitable replacement?

Only aggies could be that bizzare.

You don't know the facts. LSU DID pay to cancel the series according to the terms of the contract which stated that a certain amount of money would be required to cancel the series, but that amount would be reduced if a suitable replace team was found. LSU produced the suitable replacement team and paid the reduced amount. the only beef the Aggies had was that they thought they should be paid the full amount because they disagreed that USL was a suitable replacement - and then proceeded to lose to the team they deemed unsuitable. A fricking theater of the absurd you guys run over there.
