I personally am kind of flabbergasted he made those two recommendations. I have high hopes for him as AD, but he can't be so out of touch he can't realize why Bama fans have a problem with those two names can he? I hope this isn't a sign of bad decisions to come under his tenure.

dude is on crack cocaine if he thinks Alabama alumni and fanbase will sit quietly and let Kramer and Dickey determine ANYTHING regarding the University.

He is a Bama guy, but if he's serious, he's been living under a rock for the past 14 years!

Who cares. There's almost no chance it would hurt Alabama

I think it's terrible. Not exactly going to let it ruin my opinion of him but I really hope this isn't a sign of things to come with him. Kramer is an absolute horrid choice on two levels: 1) Kramer is old and doesn't have the mind for the game that someone on that committee should have. 2) Kramer's history with Alabama should never be forgotten.

I don't have a massive problem with it, but I know he'll need to answer why he suggested them.

And people raised eyebrows that I indicated a bit of surprise and dismay at Battle being named UA athletic director.

I love the hire of Battle. He'll keep the current status quo for football and work to improve the quality of all other sports. His business background will be essential in building a complete athletic program.

Perhaps not. But then again, perhaps there would be a chance of it. Maybe not from Dickey, but I wouldn't trust or feel comfortable with Kramer having a say in it, especially if Bama were a "bubble" team somewhere in the future.

If there was only one guy on the committee then I might be upset. I don't think that the committee as a whole would make any biased decisions. Too much at stake. Plus there's no one who would be totally impartial anyway, so recommending a qualified person he's friends with is fine with me.

I recently saw a program on TV where Roy Cramer was being honored for something, I can't remember. The old dude looked like he had one foot in the grave and one a banana peel. He's 83 years old - he ain't getting on any committee, IMO.

I'm still in disbelief. Friggin Kramer must have some polaroids of him doing something.

Let's face it, Battle is just keeping the seat warm. No way this decision is all his.
