clemson finished the '08 season unranked.
How bout michigan? Were they ranked end of season?
You forgot the only true OOC road game saban has played the last few seasons, penn St. They might have been ranked early but, not at end of season.

And 2005 Arizona State finished with 5 losses. Good call!
And 2009 VT finished #10 in the AP poll
