So I guess, in theory, Mark Richt is punishing kids who may really be suffering from the disease of addiction...someone get me this guys' phone number so I can inform him how un-Christlike it is not to get these kids the help they need, punishing an addict won't help, they need Jesus, then counseling & therapy, and a long talk with Quincy Carter...c'mon Richt, you're too good for this, so I thought

So it's Richt's fault and he should shoulder the blame for grown men choosing to smoke weed...b/c weed is addictive....

I think Bob Sagat should talk to these guys instead.

not necessarily shoulder the blame, but most "grown men" use as adolescents, as early as 11 years old, I'n not saying he should be accused of anything, but I thought Richt was the coach that gave the kids the good ole "come to Jesus talk" in the office, if that's the case, and he REALLY wants to help these kids, then HELP. Have them run some steps, do push ups, 4am morning intervals, etc. Publicly announcing a kids suspension just makes our program look like shite, and looks less attractive to recruits that may not even smoke. You want a REAL consequnce like I had in College and HS football, let me see you do gassers for 4 hours and see how much weed you smoke after that...But if all kids see is our kids being suspended every other week, it sets a bad precedent, and kids come here as recruits, smoke, and it becomes as easy as sitting out a game...that creates apathy and a lack respect and shows weakness and the absence of tenacity by the head coach. You punish the program, the fans, the University...I guess to each is own...but I definitely think these potheads need more than just getting suspended though, they need help learning to replace something with something. That's usually how you deal with bad habits, replace X with Y every time you want to do X and you will get Z results...
