They should be better and there is some good high school talent in Tennessee.

i agree. i lived in tennessee many years and my son played high school and college ball in the state. delmonico had it going for awhile but it seems that the program just can't get going. i'm gonna say recruiting but i'm speculating. i haven't been to a game in about 10 years but the park was very small and kind jucoish back then. i think it will only take some winning to jump start the program and yes, pitching is always a problem. ut needs to get them some sec level pitching. vandy did.

Delmonico had some great teams back in the early to mid 90s and had crowds of 4 to 5k on a regular basis. Delmonico got complacent and then had a one good season every 4 years, even then, they were just okay in regular season and got hot in the postseason so fans didn't even know they were good. Todd Raleigh was an even worse coach than Dooley. Both Delmonico and Raleigh have not been paid to coach another college baseball team since they left Tennessee. Serrano should get it turned around, however, I wish he would have blown the roster up in year 1 instead of year 2.
