LSU undoubtedly has the most important thing, the most titles but its a shame that so many college baseball fans forget that MSU and SC had stellar baseball programs long before any other current SEC team did.

South Carolina has a .686 winning percentage since 1970. The only reason it is that low is because we fell to .609 for the decade of the 90s during June Raines' final years and Ray Tanner's first few years. We've had three losing seasons in 43 years, two of those in 70 and 71 and one of those in '96, June Raine's final year before he was let go.

There are very few baseball teams that can claim that kind of success since 1970. Maybe a half dozen in the country, at the most, and probably not that many.

Not trying to start any shite here, as LSU sucked pre Bertman, but I'll give Polk & the dawgs all the credit in the world, as they got SEC baseball off & running to where it is now. But, a serious question & not a flame, how many of those yrs of the cocks winning were when you were in the ACC? Sorry for drawing a blank, but cann't recall when you guys left the ACC. Which teams were any good in that league back then? Obviously, the cocks are a premier team in the country now, so congrats on your success.
