Paranormal Experiences

I'm going ghost hunting tomorrow at the Pratt Cotton Gin, so I thought I would start a thread so you can pass around anything spooky/unexplained that you have experienced in your life.
I will start us out
I don't have much. My house is built on an Indian burial ground, but my parents have experienced more than I have. A few years ago though, we drove out to Daniel Pratt's grave on our way to ghost hunt at the gin.
Halfway up, we realized cars couldn't go any farther. Not having flashlights, we turned around. I sarcastically said, "Well that was scary." I had just gotten my words out when the streetlight went out.
We high-tailed it out and skipped the ghost hunt at the cotton gin
Hence the trip tomorrow.
Well, that was pretty weak. What y'all got?

The paranormal is just a way from people to try to explain things that they have no explanation for.

Like what makes a woman go into labor. It can't scientifically be explained. Paranormal.

Well, yes. That is what I am asking for, unexplained happenings.
To be clear, we're just going out there for fun with some flashlights and a camera. We're not full-blown investigating anything

A friend and I heard voices, gunfire, and cannon blasts inside of the Illinois Monument at Vicksburg.

Any stories starting off with, "I was asleep in my bed", or "I was alone when", can be dismissed. You're already in a vulnerable state for your brain to play tricks on you when darkness and fatigue play a role.

I don't believe in ghosts or anything of that sort. Weirdest thing I've "witnessed" was the disappearance of some cattle and an odd burned area at my uncle's farm one summer. The logical explanation would be someone sneaked on the farm and stole them, and maybe set a fire as a diversion. But my uncle is very well known in the area and no one in their right mind attempt to trespass on his property, let alone steal from him. Who knows

I wasn't alone in the house, but I was the only one that saw both of my experiences. I KNOW what I saw and heard. It certainly had nothing to do with fatigue.

The first time it was about midnight. I was in bed trying to go to sleep. I wasn't tired, but that's what you do at midnight when you have to work the next day. The living room entertainment center is just on the other side of my wall. I heard one of the drawers open and something moving the items around like they were looking for something. Then I heard it close. There wasn't any light coming under my door, so I knew there wasn't a light on in that room or my roommate's room. If it was a person, I would have heard them moving around because we had old wood floors. I got up and checked that all the doors were locked and windows were closed. Then I went to ask me roommate if if was him or if he heard it, but he was asleep and I woke him up. So I really have no other explanation for what I heard.
The other on was at about 8:30 in the morning. I woke up and laid in bed watching tv for a little bit. Took a shower then went to get don breakfast. We had another roommate this time, and his room opens into the kitchen and his door is near the fridge. He had a welcome mat in front of his door and there's about a 1.5" step to enter his room. I had the freezer open, and I saw the corner of his mat raise a few inches and slap down. The kitchen floor is tile and I felt no breeze come through. There weren't any strings attached to the comers. After a few minutes, I hear the guy get out of his bed and he comes out, so I really doubt he had anything to do with it.
These are the only two things I saw after living in the house for about 2.5 years. Both of my roommates experienced things as well.

In that same vein, the cause of SIDS is unknown.
