Are you trying to convince us that Bama has a good football program?

Maybe if you highlight the Florida and Georgia runs as well you won't get slammed with "Bama Board."

Bama's 1971-79 Record is most impressive with most of the 11 losses coming in the final two seasons. 97 wins in 8 years of a decade is very strong. Although I realize this is an AP list it is still not fair to put USC over LSU especially in the BCS Era.

No, that should be obvious.

Coach Saban's dynasty beating out both of Coach Bryant's dynasties is pretty good. If Alabama wins out this year, Saban's dynasty should move up to at least #2.

Sorry Bammers. Got my decades confused. Bama only lost one game in 78-79. See even LSU fans can get it right sometimes...

Two SEC teams just missed out.

Best of the Rest:

Clemson Tigers (1981-91): 100-24-5
Tennessee Volunteers (1949-52): 36-4-2
LSU Tigers (2003-07): 56-10
Michigan State Spartans (1950-53): 35-2
Boise State Broncos (2006-11): 73-6
Virginia Tech Hokies (1999-2011): 132-39
TCU Horned Frogs (2008-11): 47-5

How does Tennessee not make that list with '95 - '98

45 - 5
Two SEC Championships
One BCS National Championship?

Oklahoma going 11 years with only 8 losses still blows my mind. I know it was a different era and all, but that is still just insane.

I realize the term dynasty is subjective but I would assume the reason TN was left out is because they are looking for periods of multiple NC, I assume which in the AP period is kind of tough because you talk about a subjective poll when one doesn't play two

To think I almost forgot how damn good Bobby Bowden was. He made 3 straight BCS title games... Imagine if he'd won all 3. Damn.

That would eliminate a few on the list.

Ok my fault, but to me when you talk about dynasties that would entail best of cfb nation wide not just to a specific conference. That said TN in the 90's had some great team's.

I agree, robbed.

Did Auburn not have a awesome run in the 2000's? They're prolly SEC hating.
