That's not the reason why. Yell Leaders have historical significance at A&M. But you probably know that.
It's wild: TAMU is harshly criticized--probably more so than any other university-- by the gay community for not being gay friendly; while dorks from pipsqueak universities continue to trot out a tired meme.
