This year, hell yeah it would be embarrassing. People like to talk about things like that. Remember back in 2007, when Cal beat Tennessee, and Brent Musburger was talking to Les Miles about conferences all throughout the broadcast?

That said, I think last year was due to mindsets. Ole Miss was "weak" and "terrible", and Texas was "a traditional power". And both teams played that way, like they both expected it to happen. I think Freeze has to change the team's mindset, and I think he will.
