Great to see that some people are not bigger than the game.

Yea this is really sad. The kid actually only has a month to live. Hopefully Matt raised his spirits.

Damn the good guys do exist. I've always liked Kemp but now I'm a bigger fan. Thanks for sharing.

Yea I actually met him at a dodgers braves game two years ago. Really a nice guy. Signed autographs for about 40 minutes.

Just heard today his love for the fans stems from his childhood when he met his favorite sports star (unnamed) and he said he didn't have time for autographs.

Athletes have the amazing ability to change someones day/month/life just by taking the time to talk to them and sign some stuff. Some realize this, a lot don't.

^This. I worked as a batboy and Clubhouse assistant for the Braves for 2 years, and it's incredible how many autographs I was asked for. They knew I was a batboy and didn't care, it completely changed some of those kids days when I'd sign stuff for them too, it was really cool.

Remember the feeling when Jarvis Jones tweeted me happy birthday too. I thought that was awesome.
