I've often wondered how many lawsuits Westboro has filed for harassment and assaults--and if THAT is their real gig.

I read in another thread that they have several hundred lawsuits at any given time. I would say that this is entirely their gig

It is. Fred Phelps (a lawyer) is the family patriarch and church pastor and 11 of his 13 children are also lawyers. They prey on emotion and sucker people into an emotional response and then sue the shite out of every one of them.
