Solid article.

Conclusion
The continued evaluation of Johnny Football will make for a fascinating story, because he will test the standards of quarterback play at the NFL level. He is an unconventional playmaker with outstanding athleticism and running skills who is at his best when improvising and playing "sandlot" football -- something that will be hard to do in the NFL. Additionally, he lacks the requisite physical dimensions and pocket passing skills that most evaluators covet in franchise quarterbacks. While comparisons to Russell Wilson will certainly be made, based on the similarly short Wilson's success with the Seattle Seahawks, I would contend that Wilson was a more polished and accomplished passer as a collegian. He also played in a pro-style offense at N.C. State and Wisconsin, which prepared him for the rigors of life in the NFL.
I believe Doug Flutie would be a more apt comparison when it comes to Manziel. Flutie was an effective improvisational playmaker as a pro who could also play the game from the pocket. After spending years refining his craft in the Canadian Football League, Flutie landed in the NFL and enjoyed a successful stint as a starting quarterback. Manziel will certainly get his chance, but I don't believe he is a top quarterback prospect at this time.
Solid article.

Don't need to read the article to know that.

That is all fair. I don't think it is fair to compare JFF to Wilson and say Wilson was more polished and such because JFF was just a freshman this past year and has a lot of time to "polish" before the NFL would be there.

If he leaves this yr he's a 4th - 5th rd pick, waits a yr 3rd rd at highest
Tebow messed it up for everyone who has a run mentality

SOS Wilson had a lot more time and experience running a pro set offense at NC St

I sure hope this is right. 4 years in an A&M uniform? Yes please.

His lack of accuracy was also exposed when he played against the big boys (which is weird considering he really never seemed to have a problem with it in college).

Bucky Brooks better be careful opening his mail. I'd hate for him to spill the jar.

well, no sh*t.. they're comparing a multi-year starting senior QB to a freshman in his first season. It's almost a gurantee that JF will look more seasoned in another two or three years.

Wait, are y'all happy about this?

who cares what a random scout has to say?
Jerry Jones is going to draft Johnny.
Romo getting that big deal means dick b/c Jerry knows he can ride the momentum of jersey sales Tebow style with JFF.
If Johnny ends up unseating Romo, Jerry wins. If he doesn't? Jerry makes money anyway.
and before you scoff at this, please remember, Jerry is the guy who took Quincy Carter in the 2nd round.

Once again, comparing Johnny Manziel (a redshirt sophomore) to Russell Wilson at Wisconsin (a redshirt SENIOR).

Meyer's offense was almost primarily based on Tebow's improv working through the read option, the threat of the run was always there
He had the run mentality, so does Manziel, the offense is a more spread passing attack than read option, but I'm sure if you broke it down he ran on a large % of plays whether they were called runs or not
