When I was a young kid Doc Rivers and his family moved to my street in the 80's when he played for the Hawks. Nicest guy you could ever meet, took me to a couple Braves games, during one there was a rain delay so he took me to the press box where we ate from the announcers buffet. I babysat for his youngest son Jeremiah who made it to the final four as a Hoya (Austin hadn't been born yet). Him driving me to his basketball camps and me getting out of his Mercedes with him made me the envy of the other campers. Later when he played for the Spurs I heard some high school kid burned down his house because his wife (who he has been with all this time) was white. Disgusting.
