Piccolos are actually much louder than flutes; This is why the Arkansas band has all piccolos and no flutes.

I like most SEC fight songs. Would be easier to list the ones I don't like, so....

Not a fight song, but I love "Go Alabama."

Hate to say it, but prolly "Hey Alabama". Damned catchy tune.
"Hey Fighting Tigers" is pretty damn cheesy, not to mention it's a complete rip from some old Broadway tune. The "Touchdown For LSU" song is much better.
Florida's isn't terrible.
Georgia's "I've Been Workin On the Railroad" is close to bottom of the barrel. but....
Rocky Top is the flat-out gheyest football fight song I have EVER heard.
I don't even know how any of the others go. Which I guess means they suck the worst.
eta: sorry, I do know aTm's fight song. it's OK, nothing special but not bad either. I'd put it in the upper 50%.

It does change tempo but frequency means things are going really well.
