Why is it that tOSU wont play OOC games with SEC teams?

As of today, Wisconsin picked up LSU for 2014 and has a matchup with Bama in 2015. Mich played Bama last year and PSU played Bama twice lately. Seems like the only decent B10 team that is left is afraid. Well, I would be afraid too if I had the record vs SEC schools that OSU has.

I think Vandy just cancelled a series with them and I believe Georgia was supposed to play them soon, not sure if that's still happening.

tOSU cancelled the home and homes with both Tennessee and UGA about a year ago because of the B10/P12 agreement which has since disintegrated.
Vandy was supposed to play a buy game @tOSU this season but Franklin wanted to lighten up the schedule (also dropped the NWestern game)

The thing is, all these other teams are picking up games one year or two years in advance to play in these classics. OSU wont do that. They will stick to their MAC and bottom of the pack Pac12 teams. But, their excuse always is "we schedule our games 10-20 years in advance and those teams were good when we scheduled them".

We were supposed to be playing both Oregon and tOSU. Both fell apart

They have a really tough tough time beating up the little sisters of the poor in the northern states that used to be relevant at football.
They've seen SEC teams dominate CFB...so I guess they've just seen the Fear. They've never legitimately beaten an SEC team in a bowl game and the thought of playing a powerhouse SEC team during the season, and thereby jeopardizing their shot at a BCS berth is probably as scary as driving in a car with a live cougar.

Well they stole a coach from the SEC, not the same situation as Wisconsin.
Alvarez has a blood vendetta against Arkansas now, you'll see him manifest a SEC obsession.

And I forgot to mention, Mich St plays Bama in 2016 and 17. OSU is the only tough B10 team that wont play SEC teams.

Their regular season record is decent, the are 1-0-1 in the last two vs. the SEC they've played.

How would it benefit them to play SEC teams?

I cant remember the bowl record vs SEC teams. I think it is 1*-10 or something like that.
*had to vacate their only win.

Eric Hyman tried to schedule home-and-home series with OSU, Notre Dame and UNC while he was here and failed on all three. Just this year we are finally getting the return game from UNC that was schedule under Mike McGee in 2002 to be played in 2007 and 2008. We played up there in 2007, we're finally getting our return game in 2013.
OSU would not agree to play the home-and-home, they wanted us to come up there but them not come down here. They were/are still pissed about the two spankings they took two years in a row at the Outback Bowl I guess. It basically ended their recruiting in SC.
Notre Dame just flat-out refused to play us even when Holtz was here, and he tried to get them to schedule us for a future series even when he knew he was leaving ... but they would not do it.

And yet they complain about our OOC scheduling.
