Do any SEC facilities host ATP or WTA events?

I confess to knowing nothing about tennis as it falls during baseball and softball season.

Not sure what a USTA event it but UK is site for the Fifth Third (5/3) Bank Tennis Championships. It is held in the summer and it is billed as a $100,000 event. Read the USTA hosts 94 events that range from 10K to 100 K so the one in Lexington is at the top of that range. Seems like before the financial meltdown of 2008 they were talking about it being a $300,000 event but not sure that ever happened or if it was downgraded to $100,000 back then.

While we are talking about facilities....That Memphis team that beat Ole Miss..... They hosted the CUSA tournament, however, since their facility is abysmal, they played it at the MUS/Hutchison (private schools in east Memphis) Tennis courts.

Teams play 3 doubles matches (pro set scoring, 1 set - first to 8, win by 2). Winning 2/3 matches earns 1 point.

Then the teams play 6 singles matches (best of 3 sets) each worth 1 point.

First team to earn 4 points (out of 7 total) wins the overall match and advances.

ETA: Cal now leads Alabama 3-1. Tide won the doubles point where Cal has won 3 of 6 singles matches.

Herring didn't bring her best today, for sure. She's about to lose on straight sets.
