Is It Obvious Yet to Mizzou and A&M That We All Hate Each Other?

There is no S-E-C comraderie. We all hate each other with a passion. We fight, demean, and provoke. We ignore the rest of the nation, though, and look down on them as being beneath even our ridicule.

I've seen Mizzou fans get their feelings hurt because they were not accepted as SEC brethren. They don't realize that the very fact that we ridicule them means that they are accepted. We aren't ridiculing Kansas for crying out loud.

The only ones outside of the SEC that even draw our ire are USC, Ohio St. Notre Dame, Michigan, and Texas, when they field a team that is even competitive. FSU and Miami get a pass because we share territory with them.

Just trying to put out there to A&M and Mizzou fans that there is no real SEC camraderie other than if you are in, you get blasted and if you are out, you are treated as though you don't exist.

And, God help you if you lose a bowl game or an out of conference game. Especially to Ohio State or an average ACC team.

Ahem.

LSU might since they don't have a rival. I don't really hate any of you other than Florida. The rest just annoy me when you're good.

I think most of us have figured that out, at least the ones that have been around the rant long enough. I also just think it gets a bit tedious saying the same thing over and over and over

and over.

I was obviously talking about LSU, but thanks for pointing that out. You probably feel clever now.

I don't know if God has helped us or not. It is a figure of speech. Glad that Cam Cameron is with us though. Feeling very confident for next season.

If we could play Texas A&M every bowl game, we wouldn't have any problems, though.

Right. I actually kind of feel bad for some of you guys because a lot of you were excited and came in wanting to talk sports and got trashed from start to finish. A lot of Mizzou fans have just stop participating. You just have to have a thick skin and dish it out as well. Miss. St., Ole Miss, Arkansas, and Auburn fans get this when they are down that they go between self-deprecation and then identifying what they can talk smack about.

LSU fans just burn the world down and hate everyone. Most of all, we hate ourselves.

Georgia fans are confident, but mostly get along with everyone but Florida and Tennessee.

I have no problem with Florida fans. They win and back up their talk, but when they are down, they don't make many excuses. For a team that LSU plays every year, I have not one single ill feeling toward them. I didn't even hate them when Spurrier was hanging half a hundred on us and smiling. I admired the guy and thought that if we couldn't stop it, we deserved it.

Alabama fans, well, that is another story entirely.

South Carolina fans seem decent too, for the most part. They struggle, but then handle their success well.

Really, as an LSU fan, the hate in the SEC West is incredibly intense. It exists in the East, but seems more civilized. Mizzou got caught in the crosshairs of being the newbie who didn't do well and A&M, well, they jumped right in and did well and started dishing it out immediately. They punched us all in the face (except LSU and Florida) and now they have to be taken down a notch.

Lots of plots and subplots that goes on year round. But, Mizzou is one of us now and the hazing is just part of it. Just remind us that you won the Civil War or something and bring up Reconstruction. Anything. Just don't give up.

That would REALLY mean that you aren't SEC material.

It is very obvious that the SEC is one happy family.

However, we have this weird uncle that lives in Baton Rouge.

We force ourselves to be polite, but we are extremely happy when he returns to the attic after Thanksgiving Dinner.

Yeah. Not sure what you are getting from my post, but what I am trying to say is for Mizzou, especially, to not take the ridicule personally, but see it as how, in our twisted way, we are including you in the SEC hate-fest. Just trying to encourage the Missouri fans on this board to buck up and get their tail out between their legs. It is unbecoming. A new season is approaching and now is the time to say how you are going to run the table.

If Ole Miss fans can get excited about their mediocre season last year and if A&M fans can crow about finishing 3rd in the West and if Auburn fans can brag about winning the Spring Game attendance contest with Alabama, then you can make some stuff up and get excited too.

Just don't quit.

Yep, that uncle is older than you, owns the house with his brothers, and comes down every year to kick your tail while telling you war stories from Nam.

You've got it right, Ag.

AlaTiger,

We're Yankees! We don't quit. We win the war. However, we're just resting right now before we begin our next offensive...

I don't know how much they've stopped participating versus how many of them are currently banned.

I don't think anyone has stopped supporting the team. I think they are realists for the most part, despite what is espoused on the rant. And realistically, you'd have to be drinking the kool aid to think MU will run the table.
