Plenty of reasons.

None of which involve the rebel flag.

But as someone from the south who now lives in Minnesota, I have a few reasons.

1-The accent. Bitches love my accent. Northern people even hate their own accents. It's kinda sad.
2-The weather. This is a given. Snow in April is fricking horrible.
3-Hockey fricking sucks

Now, myths about the North compared to the South

1-Most people here are just as nice and hospitable. South doesn't really have an advantage here TBH. Unless we're talking New York or inner city. But inner city southern cities suck just as bad.
2-Food. Outside of creole food, the food up here is just as good and they make "southern" food all the time.

The difference is in the South you can walk into anyone's home and there is someone who can cook a huge delicious meal in that house. That's not the case in the North.

I can guarantee that this is not the case in much of the north, especially the east coast, Ohio, and Western Penn.
