Any time I meet people of opposing fanbases I make it a point to show them a good time. The way people are on this site doesnt accurately portray what fanbases really are like.

I do the same- go out of my way to be helpful and hospitable. I hate the reputation we have because I think we're the best fans for the most part

I was treated really well when I was in Baton Rouge for the game. People actually remember my username, and were like, "You're that guy?"

Baton Rouge has probably been my best road trip as far as hospitality goes.
We got down there early before any of our Alabama friends (me and a friend), we finished off our twelve pack walking around the stadium. So we walked up to a tailgate with a TV and a nice mix of LSU/Alabama fans. First guy walks up to us and introduces himself as the owner of the tailgate (jackpot!). He tells us "There's the food (the spread was MASSIVE), and there's the beer. I don't need to tell ya'll again." And then we stayed there for the next five or six hours until game time. Stuffed full of food and drinks. Had a great time talking football with all the Tiger fans. There was only one drunken douche Tiger fan, who luckily had a drunken douche Bama fan with him. They eventually got asked to leave the tailgate.
I was sitting a row in front of the LSU season ticket section. All were great fans as well. We would yell for Bama and they would yell for LSU. Congratulated each other on good plays and shook hands at the end of the game because it was such a good game. There were two LSU cougars behind us that wanted some D. They kept stealing some of my friends whiskey drink. They bailed 2nd quarter to go get some dick at the bar I think.
It was a great overall time. We stayed in NOLA. I wish I would have gotten a chance to go out to some bars in BR.
