Yeah now we'll see it twice in the same season. I'm not really a fan of it. On the bright side, their talent level should still be relatively low. Next year, at least.

Well shite. Given what happened with A&M, I guess within four seasons, Texas Tech will be joining the SEC.

There was a series booked with TCU about a decade ago that (so far) has not happened. First, it got moved to a later date for some forgotten reason, then got moved to make room for a game with Texas, was supposedly moved to 2013 then... has this just been totally canceled?

As of now it looks like it's on the books for '15 & '16. These guys are usually pretty spot on and keep these updated very well.

It was moved for the series with Texas, then it got bumped again along with Texas' return trip due to the aTm series. It is a home and home and it is possible that TCU has asked it be moved since they moved to the Big12 and have one less OOC game due to their round robin format in that league, it would make sense in that they could ask us to move it since we already moved it once.
It was scheduled in the time frame the TTU series appears to be happening FWIW.

Who in their right mind chooses to go to Lubbock? The rest of the Big 12 doesn't even want to travel there and we are freely choosing to?

Never been to Lubbock, might be a fun roadie. It's suppossed to be a pretty fun college town. There, Austin, and Ft. Worth are road trips my OSU buddies swear by.

I have been flying there for almost 8 years with my job. Trust me... It's like the dusty shite hole of America out there. Just awful. However, I have never met a town full of nicer people pretty much anywhere collectively.
I will go only bc I can arrange for a work trip and it will be free. Otherwise.... Not a chance in hell I'd waste my $$ to go there on my own dime.
