They had officers on the banks and he was cited for public intox and had to go back to the county later to handle his fines. Ended up costing him a few hundred.
I thought that was crazy because I've never heard of that happening before.

When did that unpleasant business happen? I've heard a story about the ABC waiting at the end of the float to arrest people and write tickets, but I kind of doubt that one.
I've floated the Cahaba four of five times and have never had any problems. Hell, having a cooler full of beer is tame compared to what some other people do out there
