Charlotte. Large metropolis (by Southern standards), wealthy and growing. Still retains an Old South air, but with modern sentiments. Distinct areas downtown are basically yuppie heaven (#3&#4). Pro sports teams, the mecca of racing (if you're into that). About every outdoor activity you can think of within reach (camping, canoeing, fishing, hunting, lakes, mountains, etc.). 4 actual seasons (as opposed to just green and brown). Big decision on where to go, but Charlotte is worth a little investigation.

One of my buddies I grew up with just recently moved to Charlotte and he loves it so far. Thanks for the info, ill add it to the list.
