Without more information, I don't know about Gogue, but none of these guys are "insanely overpaid." If you are at the top of your game, and are competing with the best academic and business minds for scarce administrative posts like these, why is it sane to pay a football coach $3 million annually but "insane" to pay a major college president $700,000 plus?

Bama's current pres makes more than Auburns(total comp) Bama's past pres is making more than Auburn currently (Salary, but close on total). But they are all about the same

agreed. and endowments and academics are a much larger source of revenue than athletics
